I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and currently live just outside of Des Moines. I proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Flight Deck Director on bored the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln. Serving in the military from 1994 - 1998 was an adventure for sure. Working on a flight deck is hard to explain and you need to see it to it believe.
I am married with two kids and enjoy being at home and creating things. In addition to my obsession with digital fitness and entrepreneurship, I am also learning how to play the guitar. My fascination with music goes back as far as I can remember, and I didn't pick up my first guitar until I was 43.
I have over 12 years of senior executive leadership experience and a bulk of that has been in state government. My entrepreneurial life began in late 2018 and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I just took a shot on myself with some ideas I had and ran with it. Here's the key to all of it - learn to fail so you can succeed and things will happen faster. You never know when your creations will take off so don't be afraid to take a calculated risk.
In mid-1996 I started to develop some odd symptoms while stationed in Bremerton Washington. Ultimately, I would later be diagnosed with a pituitary brain tumor and diagnosed with the rare disease "Acromegaly". Acromegaly is a form of giantism and it disfigures how you look physically. The disease beats you down physically and mentally as it takes a toll on your self-confidence.
Luckily, I was able to realize that the adversity that the disease created was an opportunity in disguise. The key is to not give in to the bitterness or sometimes even hatred you carry around with adversity. Life is to short and when you move on, you move forward. Because of that attitude was able to create the Fitness Made Easy platform in 2019 in hopes of sharing my 25 years of fitness workout experience.
