It happens every now and then. You’ll be walking somewhere and a dude will pop out of know where with some enormous guns. The kind of guns that force you to take an extended double take and evaluate how you would handle him in a bare knuckle brawl.
I’m not talking about the kind of guns you load with ammunition, rather the guns that are attached to our shoulders. I mean how many gun (bicep) slogans are out there? Check out the gun show, suns out guns and these guns are registered as lethal weapons in ten states to name a few.
Have you ever actually examined the bicep? To be honest, the best set of biceps are one part chiseled bicep and two parts sculpted tricep. In fact, the tricep is 75% of the arm and your bicep is only as good as its bigger sister on the bottom. But for the purposes of this blog, let me give you some really easy tips to smoke your biceps into oblivion.
To take your biceps from a wet noodle to a stick of dynamite. To demand all eyes on your right and left pipes. To give you hope to be the next guy with 25 inch python’s brother! (Millennials Google 1980’s WWF)
Over the past 25 years I have spent many a day and night in a gym. More recently I have switched to a home gym as it just has so many benefits (including less germs).
In all those years I have found one key ingredient that is needed to cook up an awesome pair of biceps. The ingredient is actually free and we all have the ability to use it. It is called consistency. Consistency is the ruler of all things profitable, whether it be monetary, physical or mental.
If you go, if you practice, if you don’t give up, if you stick with it, if you don’t give in, you get what I mean. That’s all it is. It is simply pushing yourself to succeed. Think about it this way, when is the last time you accomplished something really awesome that didn’t include some consistency?
When you take that consistency and combine it with Resistance Band's, you have magic. Resistance Band training is a secret weapon that can get you to the bicep race finish line. In fact, I can make a case that using resistance bands will actually build your biceps faster than using dumbbells.
The reason resistance bands are so effective to the bicep and every body part for that matter, is because they allow you to focus in on the specific muscle group you are working.
Doing a set of curls with a band allows you to stretch the bicep all the way out so you get a fuller motion in the curl. Not to mention you have the opportunity to change your resistance in the bands and produce an even more detailed result. When you factor in that you can change your hand grand grips, stance and motion, you are set for a great foundation.
Switching up your workout routines as a whole is a good habit to get into. For instance, on the Fitness Made Easy platform I created, we put a premium on not allowing your body to get use to the same thing for more than three or four weeks in a setting. The body responds well to switching up exercises and will reward you by shaping your body in a more favorable way.
This is particularly true with your biceps and in using resistance bands. Never allow your self to do the same arm workout for more than four weeks in a row. Even if you switch it up so that you just order your exercises differently, you are on the right track. The beauty of using resistance bands is that you have several different options techniques to choose from!
Following a fitness platform is more than a shameless plug by me to get you to try out my platform! What my Fitness Made Easy platform does is give you a plan to follow among many other things.
When you don’t have to worry about finding what exercises or workout to do each day, you save yourself time and money.
