Why Diet? Just Cut Out These 3 Things Out

Let me preface this by saying I am not a dietician, do not aspire to be a dietician, nor do I even know a dietician. However, I do have some common sense and my bullshit meter is always asking me, why do people get so sucked into dieting schemes?

Unfortunately, much like taxes, we grow up hearing about diets, watch diet commercials and actually seeing family members to through the diet cycles. I won’t waste your time naming all the diets to bless us as a world, rather I’ll be captain obvious and remind you there is a lot.

How many people do you know (perhaps you are one) that have started a diet and have stayed on it for more than six months? Actually, how about longer than just 3 months? I imagine that percentage is extremely low and anything over six month is seriously unique.

My point is that diets are short term fixes that only satisfy the mind (and mirror) but actually put more stress on the body. If you drop 50 pounds in three months, something is going to go give if you don’t work extremely hard to keep it off after the diet ends.

Have you ever heard someone say they gained it back and more? Better yet, ever seen a picture that said everything it needed to?

I will probably be burned at the stake for saying this, but it is my opinion that diets are cop outs for doing actual exercise. In fact, have you ever noticed that most diets frown upon you exercising while you are on them? Kind of sounds like a ploy to keep you on the diet, spending money and circling in the vortex of diet hell.

The reality is this, you are who you are and can blame the genetic god in the sky when that time comes. If you by nature are self-defined as over weight than you are simply going to have to work harder in the gym.

It is no different than someone who has diabetes and has to work twice as hard to just get too normal.

I will cover a fitness option for you at the end of this but before that I would highly suggest you cut out these three foods regardless of whether you want to exercise or not.

By the way, I am not breaking down the calories of these foods, the fat count or any of the other bull shit that does along with food ingredient.

We all know these aren’t good for us so let’s not kid ourselves.

Number 1 – Pop “Soda, Coke or Sugar Water”

That’s right ladies and gentlemen, I have been around and know what people call what we call “pop” in the Midwest. Unfortunately, you can’t go anywhere in the United States without having this beloved can of glucose shoved in your face.

If you’re saying I only drink “DIET” I hear you and you need to back off on that as well.

Need proof?

When is the last time you got addicted to brussel sprouts? Exactly, it doesn’t happen when there aren’t added chemicals mixed in. So yes, diet pop is terrible for you as well.

Instead of drinking three cans a day, try three a week and slowly break that down to three every two weeks. The reality? You need water, more water and some more water.

Number 2 - Chips

Yes, my friends, your old bag of fat is kicking your ass. It doesn’t matter which brand, which type or which size, most chips will destroy your figure. Instead of eating a bag a week, try to salvage a bag a month. A great alternative to chips is to try vegetable chips.

Number 3 - White Bread

The greatest thing since sliced bread is avoiding sliced white bread altogether. I can feel the heat from the bakers but this one is probably the worse out of the three.

Per Medical News Today The highly processed flour and additives in white, packaged bread can make it unhealthful. Consuming too much white bread can contribute to obesity, heart disease, and diabetes. However, buying bread with the word “whole” as the first ingredient still does not guarantee a healthful product.”

If you cut (or at least decreased) these three monsters, your odds of feeling and looking better go up drastically. And when you though in some easy fitness, you take that times ten.
